Hi there! My name is James and I'm a big fan of the outdoors. I really enjoy outdoor sports like rock climbing, archery, axe throwing, stand up paddle boarding, and canoeing. I'm also an outdoor activity instructor, teaching people water sports like stand up paddle boarding. When I'm not busy teaching others, I love doing these activities myself. Whether I'm climbing a tough rock face or paddling on a peaceful lake, I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to enjoy the great outdoors as well as curranty being a university student. Over the past cupple of years i have worked as an outdoor activity instructor. From running land based sessions such as climbing, archery as well as water based fun. With this have worked with a diverse range of clients, including schools, youth groups, and open water lifeguards.
In my time as an activity instructor, I have learned to adapt to different teaching styles and environments, ensuring that my clients have a safe and enjoyable session, while also learning a range of new skills such as thinking on my feet. From guiding beginners through their first rock climb to teaching advanced paddling techniques to more experienced stand up paddle boarders, I have loved every moment of my time as an outdoor activity instructor.

Scouts provide #SkillsForLife, to nearly half a million young people up and down the uk every week. Since being aged 6 ive been part of scouting, from a beaver to now an adult leader. Throught my adventure ive learns a host of new skills been on a range of adventures, made new freinds and been to places id never been before.
Wild shore is a watersports and aqua park provider based in the north west and scotland. For the 2022 and 2023 activity season i have worked as a water sports instructor, with this i ensure customer enjoyment as well as saftey throughought there sessions. Through this i have gained multiple nationaly recognised qualification including my open water lifeguard from the RLSS.
For 2021 summer i worked for Mountain Monkeys an outdoor adventure company bringing adventures to you. Throught my time with them i ran holiday club sessions, worked at large scale events, visited schools and worked with youth groups. Every session i had to ensure saftey of all partisipents, as well as make them fun and enjoyable.
